Philosophy
How they teach
For more than 57 years, the Joffrey Ballet School has remained on the forefront of American dance education. Graduates of the School have gone on to dance for major classical ballet companies, as well as for numerous modern and contemporary companies, both in the United States and abroad.

Curriculum
Academic Integration
Students will be encouraged to embrace and explore a broad range of material that will help each of them develop his or her individual voice as an artist in this evolving art form. The curriculum will consist of both technical and academic/creative classes designed to fully prepare students for careers in dance, dance education, and choreography.

Competitive Pathway
The New York Trainee Programs are accredited by the National Association of Schools of Dance, and are available to dancers between the ages of 13 and 25. Merit scholarships and financial aid are available to all students.

Facilities & Resources
The Residence Hall is located in a prime Manhattan location that is within short travel distance from Joffrey Ballet School, Little Italy, Times Square, Brooklyn Bridge, Central Park and much more. Students will have access to a bundle of amenities as well as indoor and outdoor common areas.

Students at the Joffrey Ballet School have had success through the Keystone School. The Keystone School is a fully accredited, teacher supported, diploma granting private school of K12 Inc., a leader in the growing field of online and blended learning – using the web, hands-on materials, and support to provide individual attention and academic support.

How to Apply
Dancers ages 8 to 25 are invited to audition for any of our worldwide Joffrey Ballet School Summer Intensives during our Audition Tour. Auditions are held at in-person locations across the United States, Canada, Europe, Japan, Mexico, and beyond!
